Jellyfish are mostly made out of water
Despite what their names may lead you to believe, jellyfish are not actually fish. They are, in fact, invertebrates, which means they have no bones. These are quite mysterious creatures. Some species are clear, while others are colored, and some even glow in the dark. The most surprising fact, though, is what they are made of.
Jellyfish are comprised mostly of water. So, they die super quickly if they are out of the sea. Evaporation is deadly for a creature that is 98% liquid. Perhaps it would be more accurate to call them “waterfish.”
