A dog testified as a witness in a murder case
Dogs are quite smart animals, which is why we have been able to train them to do all sorts of jobs. They can sniff out bombs or drugs, help rescue people from drowning or from avalanches, and even detect if someone’s blood sugar levels are too high or too low. This one dog even served as a witness in a murder case.
During a murder trial in France in 2008, a dog was called forth as a witness to see if it would identify who had killed its owner. When it saw one of the suspects, it started barking like a hound from hell, which became a decisive factor.
