There are 29,000 man-made objects in space
Until the 1960s, humans had never even dreamed of going to outer space. With hard work and a lot of research, we managed to get people to land on the Moon, and even built an entire Space Station that now orbits around the Earth. However, wherever humans go, trash follows.
It is estimated that around 29,000 man-made objects are orbiting our planet. These include satellites, metal debris from collisions between equipment, and obsolete machinery that has outlived its usefulness. That is only the trash we know of. There are probably even more man-made items floating around further out in space.
