This is the longest bridge in Southeast Asia
The Penang Bridge extends for 13.5 kilometers and is a dual-lane carriageway toll bridge and controlled-access highway in the Malaysian state of Penang. This bridge connects Perai on the state’s mainland to Gelugor on the island, crossing the Penang Strait. This is the peninsula’s first and only road connection to the island.
This is also the second-longest bridge in Malaysia and the fifth-longest in Southeast Asia in terms of total length, with an 8.4-kilometer length over water. And the bridge is curved because this strengthens the structure and helps dissipate the force of the load. This is, indeed, a wonderful creation.
