The Bramante Staircase of the Vatican City in Rome
The modern Bramante Staircase is open to the public and is located in the Pio-Clementino Museum in Rome. It serves as the museum’s exit, yet the staircase is stunning, with many visitors looking down from the very top to see the spiral design from a bird’s eye perspective.
Giuseppe Momo designed this staircase in 1932, which is similar to the original one. It is incredible to stand at the very top of this massive structure and watch streams of people descend to the ground floor. Moreover, it replicates the double helix shape but only allows two separate groups of people to descend together.
