Twins are more common now than ever before
Having a twin is a pretty unique experience, but it is becoming more and more common with every passing year. Since we began keeping records of twin births in 1915, the number of babies born as twins has increased quite a bit.

Until 1980, about 1 in every 50 babies born was a twin, but the rate began to increase. Now, the odds amount to approximately 1 in 30 newborns. This may be due to several factors, such as the advent of treatments such as in-vitro fertilization.
