Almost 200,000 viruses are living in our oceans
The ocean is home to all sorts of creatures. Some of them are well known, but others who inhabit the deepest trenches are yet to be discovered. They also contain a seemingly infinite number of microscopic organisms.

Microbiologists estimate that these large bodies of water house almost 200,000 different kinds of viruses. It might sound scary, but there is no need to panic. Scientists believe they could be used to understand our oceans better and may even serve to fight climate change.
