Most commercial artichokes are grown in a town in California
Artichokes are delicious vegetables that can be used to make various dishes or eaten plain. The plant requires good soil, regular watering, and protection from frost in winter to grow, which is why California is the ideal place to cultivate them.
A Californian town called Castroville has been nicknamed “Artichoke Capital of the World” because it grows almost all of the commercial artichokes exported to the world. The peak season for harvesting is spring, although there is another one in mid-autumn.
