Over half of the world’s population is under 30 years old
Although the median age is growing in many countries, the majority of the people on Earth are still relatively young. Birth rates have slowed but are still growing at a decent pace, and it is estimated that around 52 percent of the world’s population is under 30.
Of course, most of these are concentrated in emerging or developing economies. The Middle East and Africa are the regions with the youngest populations. Developed countries such as Japan have a more significant portion of older people.
