The Milky Way is being pulled by a neighboring galaxy
It was previously believed that the Milky Way, the galaxy inside which Earth is located, was static and did not expand or move. However, recent discoveries have proved this model wrong. In fact, it is being pulled apart by a neighboring galaxy called the Large Magellanic Cloud.
The LMC galaxy, as it is often called, is surrounded by a black hole, and its gravitational force is sucking the Milky Way towards it at about 71,600 miles per hour, causing a deformation. In light of this new information, experts have had to reformulate their previous assumptions about how our galaxy was created.
