Returning to Earth does not feel great at first
A trip to space is very hard on the human body. Fortunately, none of the symptoms or changes astronauts have reported have been permanent, but that does not mean it is easy to readjust to life on Earth. The stress of the trip back, which is enormous, and the return to normal gravity take quite a toll on their bodies.
The most common complaints are joint pain and “space fog,” which affects the astronauts’ cognitive abilities. It includes short-term memory issues, delayed psychomotor reactions, attention lapses, and confusion. If you thought going to space would be fun, think again.
