The Bronx Zoo held a fascinating exhibition in 1963
The Bronx Zoo in New York has been open since 1899 and is the largest metropolitan zoo in the United States. It has showcased many natural wonders throughout its centuries-long existence, but in 1963 it held an exhibition that was unique because of the theme it sought to raise.
It was called “The Most Dangerous Animal in the World” and discussed how we humans represented a bigger threat to Earth and each other than any other creature on the planet. This was a surprisingly timely debate subject for that time, which remains relevant still today, now that global warming is becoming such a pressing issue.
