Jeane Luise Calment is the oldest human to have ever lived
The oldest person to ever live is Frenchwoman Jeanne Louise Calment, who died in 1997 at the age of 122. She is one of the few supercentenarians whose age can be verified through several official documents. She kept in excellent shape, living on her own until she was 110 and exercising regularly until her death.
In 1965, she signed a contract with André-François Raffray, which allowed him to occupy one of her properties for about 380 euros a month. However, the deal was not beneficial for Raffray since the woman outlived him, and his family had to continue paying her.
