A Roman soldier carved a penis into Hadrian’s Wall
Hadrian’s Wall is a striking World Heritage Site located in England. It served as a frontier that protected the Romans against barbarian invaders. While people are asked not to carve silly stuff on the stone fortification, it seems that Roman soldiers didn’t care much about preserving its value or natural beauty.

As shown in the picture, one of the Roman soldiers carved a penis into Hadrian’s Wall. In the soldier’s defense, keeping an eye on the frontier the whole day must’ve been tedious. So, they had to do something to keep themself entertained and to distract themselves from their harsh circumstances.
