The founder of Little Caesars Pizza paid Rosa Parks’ rent for years
After the death of Michael Ilitch, the founder of Little Caesars Pizza, several of his acts of kindness have been made public. One of them includes the way he helped the iconic civil rights activist Rosa Parks to pay her rent for more than 10 years.
When Ilitch got the news that Parks was robbed and assaulted in her home in 1994, he thought he needed to do something about it. Therefore, he helped her move to a new apartment and ensured that the older woman had a safe place to call home.
