Police in the UK gave out free lollipops to people leaving nightclubs
Sometimes, people who go to nightclubs drink too much alcohol. Getting drunk can cause the most well-intentioned people to get rowdy and unpredictable, which can lead to trouble. So, in 2015, police in the UK came up with an excellent plan to keep those people leaving the pub quiet.

Police officers began giving free lollipops to everyone leaving nightclubs to ensure that they’d behave themselves and get home safely. The most surprising thing about the measure is that it worked. People were just too busy sucking on their candy to make noise or get into a fight.
