An environmental activist planted trees and now lives in the forest he created
Although most people think otherwise, one single person is enough to change the world. Or, at least, part of it. If this is hard to believe, just read the story of one young man in India named Jadav Payeng, who is also known as “The Forest Man of India.”
Payeng is notorious for turning a barren land of more than 1,300 acres into a lush green forest all by himself. He started planting trees when he was just 16 years old and now lives in the woods he created to protect the land.
