The Prime Minister of Yugoslavia didn’t fear Stalin
Josef Stalin was one of the most cold-blooded leaders in recorded history. He never hesitated to approve of or command mass murder if it meant he could dominate the world. Still, there was a man who didn’t fear him: Yugoslavia’s Prime Minister, Josip Broz Tito.

In 1949, the URSS leader sent multiple men to kill the Yugoslav Prime Minister, but they all failed. Tito was so tired of these assassination attempts that he simply told Stalin that he would hire someone to murder Stalin unless he stopped bothering him.
