Sea Ice Is Drinkable
If you are trapped in the sea, there is a high chance that you will die of dehydration. Seawater cannot be ingested due to the high levels of salt content. Even though seawater cannot be drunk, one can still drink sea ice. But, be careful not to drink fresh sea ice. This is because fresh sea ice still has brine pockets trapped between the ice crystals.
As the ice begins to age, the brine will drain out. When the brine is depleted, the sea ice will become fresh enough to be consumed, according to the NSIDC.
