The Pacific Ocean is Wider than the Moon
We have made our peace with the ocean’s vastness. But the sea doesn’t only show its mighty prowess on our planet but across other planetary bodies.
When measured from its widest point, the Pacific Ocean is wider than the moon. The widest point of the Pacific Ocean is from Indonesia. The expanse of the ocean is 12,300 miles across. This is more than five times the diameter of the moon.
