Male Seahorses Can Carry Babies and Give Birth
The idea of male humans giving birth is often seen as ridiculous and biologically impossible. However, in the oceanic world, it is possible. Thanks to the male seahorse for taking the burden of childbearing off their women.
After the male and female seahorse mate, the female deposits her eggs into the male’s pouch. The egg is then fertilized inside his pouch. So, instead of growing their babies inside a uterus as we humans do, seahorse dads carry their babies in pouches.
