The Biggest Ocean Waves are Beneath The Surface
You’re not wrong to think the ocean waves on the surface of the ocean are pretty big. We see surfers struggling with those waves and hear them beating a ship to pieces. But, the sea is most times more fun and dangerous underneath.
The largest waves that happen in the ocean are called internal waves. Internal waves occur between two fluids with different densities. When these internal waves travel thousands of miles, they grow to 650 feet tall.
