White Heart
The heart is the hardest working muscle in the body, and everyone has been taught that it is red in color, but that is only due to the blood flowing without end through the vessels. When the heart is drained of every ounce of blood and cleaned thoroughly, it looks exactly like the image below.
This process was conducted at the Texas Heart Institute, where American scientist, Doris Taylor, seeks to develop a regenerative method for heart reconstruction. This experiment is to drain the heart completely of the donor’s cells, then reintroduce new cells into the heart, which would reduce the likelihood of rejection during a transplant. This is a groundbreaking discovery that could change thousands of lives.
