The Roof of Notre Dame
For many people, the cartoons they had watched in their childhood were a source of adventure. Aladin took us on a wild carpet ride to the Arabian lands, Cinderella took us on a coach ride to the slopes and mountains of English soil, while the hunchback of Notre Dame let us explore the streets of France.
As children, we watched these animated movies with wide eyes, wondering what it would feel like to stand at the top of the roof of Notre Dame and look down at the city below or even ring its bell. Sadly, the Notre Dame bell was melted to make cannons in the 18th century and has not been replaced. The picture above is the Notre Dame rooftop under construction after a destructive fire. This is as close as some of us will come to see it in all its glory.
