A human mistake almost caused a flood
The Harbor Tunnel, designed by Peter Johnson, is located southeast of downtown Baltimore, Maryland, and connects to Interstate 895. This tunnel suffered a minor inconvenience some time ago that left passing drivers very surprised.
What happened was that a team was testing equipment inside the tunnel, and inadvertently, a valve for one of the fire lines opened, causing a large amount of water to begin to enter the tunnel. It was not a technical failure; it was just a human mistake.
