A statue of Neptune lures tourists
Neptune is the son of Saturn and Ops. Therefore, he is the brother of Jupiter and Pluto. The sovereignty over the three kingdoms of the universe was divided between these three gods: earth and sky, sea and the underworld. Neptune seized power in the ocean.
In 2001, the god of the sea was placed on the beach of Melenara, in Gran Canaria, Spain; the great Neptune, who at 4.20 meters high, gives an extra advantage to that beach. The statue stands in the middle of the ocean and is a great tourist attraction.
