The Morse Code that everyone should be aware of
Morse codes can be pretty tricky to memorize. Those weird combinations of short and long dots and dashes can often confuse you, and a slight change in the order of patterns can result in a totally different message. In critical situations, when you are stuck in the middle of a sea, you only have a few seconds to tell the search team your whereabouts if a plane or a boat comes looking for you.
You should be aware of the global signal for help “SOS” in such situations. Now since planes or boats won’t be able to see the message if you write it on a piece of paper (that is, if you happen to have one), you should know the international morse code for SOS, which is ‘…—…’.
