An octopus with roots
This animal is a true rarity of nature. Normally, what distinguishes octopuses are their tentacles, but this octopus’ tentacles are really peculiar. This animal was discovered, photographed and analyzed because of a strange characteristic- its tentacles look like roots. Its strange features make it unique to its species, arousing a lot of curiosity from others.
What you see here is a normal octopus with a strange condition affecting the ends of its tentacles. This adaptation allows the octopus to use them to sense its environment. The skin of the tentacles has sensors that help the octopus move and swim. You would think this creature is a character in an alien movie, but to our surprise this little animal does not live on a spaceship, but belongs to our beloved Earth.
