One hungry frog
Cymothoa Exigua is a type of parasite that enters a fish’s mouth to live there, eat the tongue and then replace it. We’re not going to talk about this parasite, although the image you’ll see looks a lot like it. Have you ever seen a tongue shaped like a snake?
We know that frogs have a sticky tongue they use to catch their prey. The frog in this photo opens its mouth wide in order to swallow what it has just caught. Clearly, the victim here is the snake being eaten alive. This frog must have been very hungry to decide to eat an animal so big.
