A furry mayoral candidate
In 2013, a cat once ran for mayor of Mexico City. On July 7, Morris’ name was pushed by many of his supporters because of the very corrupt official ballot for the city’s mayoral election. His popularity amongst the locals grew as they were frustrated with corrupt politicians, known as rats in the local lingo. Forestry is the science and craft of creating, managing, planting, using, conserving, and repairing forests, woodlands, and associated resources for human and environmental benefits. It seems our kitty bagged a degree in environmental science and forestry, only that it’s a fur-restry this time.
The surreal tale of this political cat first picked up steam with local media coverage, then quickly caught the eye of national and international news. While this isn’t the mayoral candidate Morris, the cat here is on one of the trees around the center of the picture. Hidden quite well, right?
