Leaf Insect
You would have never guessed that an insect would look like a plant, but mother nature always surprises us. Leaf insects belong to the Phylliidae family and are part of a group of leaf mimicking bugs. They can be found almost everywhere, from Asia to Australia.

They are tropical insects and are commonly found in heavy forests. Then again, with such great camouflage, you need a great spot like a forest to show off your skills. They are primarily herbivores and have a broad diet. Unfortunately, they are the biggest source of nutrients for many preys, including primates, rodents, birds, reptiles, and even giant spiders. Their leaf-like bodies are key to surviving in the forest.
