Nature is a beautifully designed landscape with several elements to make spectators marvel. One such feature of nature is camouflage animals, animals that can blend into things unnoticed. Many animals whose natural skin or pattern is perfect camouflage for blending into objects in the wild. Several animals stand perfectly still in the right position, whether to protect and preserve themselves, for mating needs, evolutionary needs, personal care needs, or plain fun. They can blend in completely unnoticed by the unsuspecting eye. You’ve probably seen a camouflaged creature but didn’t even notice because they are that good at hiding. Below we share our favorite and most fascinating camouflaging creatures.
The White Witch Moth
Moths are fascinating insects, and almost every kid has been interested in them. The picture below shows a white witch moth camouflaging in its natural habitat. Native to the Americas, this moth is the biggest in wing span.
Discovered in the mid-1700s, this moth was known by scientists as the “unkillable witch” because they could not capture it. They have been depicted over the years in various history books. They typically camouflage on tree bark to protect themselves from predators like bats. Their natural hues and patterns are beautiful.
