Goldenrod Crab Spider
The goldenrod crab spider (Misumessus oblongus) is native to North America. These small spiders are golden-colored with a distinct body shape and are most active in the fall. Although they have eight eyes, they do not build webs like other spiders but prefer to hunt independently.

The Goldenrod Crab Spider is not dangerous to humans but is very deceptive. Its bright yellow features allow it to camouflage in flowers. While it’s pretty to look at, we wouldn’t want to disturb it.
