Blue-Crowned Parrot
The blue-crowned parrot (Eunymphicus tatei) is a bird of paradise in Papua New Guinea and the nearby islands. The blue-crowned parrot is considered one of the most difficult birds to see and study due to its shy habits and generally being found at very high altitudes.
They are also very hard to photograph or film because they rarely fly out from their treetop roosts during daylight hours. They prefer to remain hidden in thick foliage, making them a master at camouflaging. The parrot does an excellent job concealing itself in its rainforest environment, but you can see it here on the left of this photo.
