Great Horned Owl
The great horned owl is a large owl with ear tufts that lives in North and South America. They prey on small mammals, birds, and reptiles. The owl can fly up to 55 miles per hour and can see in the dark because of its large eyes and special feathers that collect light like a mirror.

It can turn its head almost 180 degrees to look behind itself while flying forward. The great horned owl has thick legs that help them brace themselves as they hunt or land on prey while flying high up in the air. Their brown and beige feathers make it easy to camouflage into their environment.
