They forgot two letters at the end of the word, and instead of thanking us honestly, they call us “honest”
If you’re not sure what you’re going to say, don’t say it. This is excellent advice. It can also be applied when writing, and even more so if what you write will be engraved on a plaque. People who made this plaque didn’t follow this advice at all.
We have many things to say about the whole sign, but the last part strikes us most. “Thank you honest” could mean two things: “Thank you for your honesty” or “we honestly thank you,” but it isn’t well written in any case. We frankly recommend that they correct this sign.
