One disadvantage about discovering new things is that every time a new groundbreaking discovery is made, the previous assumptions need to be changed with the new one in the reference sources, textbooks, etc. This is one long and boring task. The Aussies had a similar dilemma when they discovered a mountain taller than the one supposed to be the tallest.
