Deceiving art
Styrofoam is a versatile material that can be used in many ways. Little Styrofoam balls are usually put in boxes to protect fragile objects from impact and they are also used to stuff toys or different types of cushions. Art students can also use them in workpieces.
When making sculptures with Styrofoam balls, exhibitors should make very clear for people whether a bench-like object is something you are allowed to sit on or if you are looking at a piece of artwork. Imagine spending all those months sculpturing just to have someone sit on it and break it.
