Al Janoub Stadium, Qatar
The amazing stadium that hosted the World Cup deserves to be appreciated for its futuristic design. The Al-Janoub Stadium is a retractable roof football stadium in Al-Wakrah, Qatar, inaugurated on May 16, 2019. It was designed by Iraqi architect Zaha Hadid and the firm AECOM and became the first country in the Middle East to host the World Cup.

As mentioned earlier, the architect Zaha Hadid designed the stadium, and the basis of the design was to create an urban extension of the city for visitors. She was inspired by the sails of traditional Dhow boats used by pearl divers while sailing through the currents of the Persian Gulf. This inspiration led to the construction of the amazing stadium.
