Al Bahr Towers, Abu Dhabi
The UAE has been at the forefront of futuristic design and innovation over the past decade, and the Al Bahr Towers are yet another proof. Although sustainability is not always associated with the building ethics of the UAE, as glamour seems to be important, their design strategies are beginning to consider environmental awareness.

The Al Bahr Towers are impeccable not because of their height but because they resemble a pair of pineapples. It is an architectural statement that shows that the Emirate is a playground for architects. Designed by AHR, the 29-story towers have an umbrella-like responsive structure that automatically opens and closes depending on the sun’s intensity.
