The gladiolus plant inspired the idea, and the four sections of the bridge mimic the four parts of the plant. The 270m long bridge was designed to expose visitors to slow and gradual messages and information on the world’s availability, supply, demand, and consumption of water. It also tells of new ways to manage water more sustainably.
