Experience Music Project, Seattle
The Experience Music Project (EMP) is another futuristic building commissioned by Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen. It was designed by architect Frank Gehry to pay homage to popular guitarist and musician Jimi Hendrix.

Since he was known as a badass guitarist, the project idea was conceived from the Fender Stratocaster guitar design that Hendrix destroyed after each concert. The museum decided to take the shape of a smashed electric design to pay tribute to the musical icon. The building is shaped like an amoeba because it is fragmented with undulating sides.
