The Vancouver Convention Centre West is a 1.2 million sq. feet structure built in 2009 by LMN Architects. It is the first convention center in the world to receive the prestigious LEED platinum certificate and has become an icon of urbanization and sustainability.

Its green roof is the largest in Canada and contains more than 400,000 plant species that also serve as insulators and heat moderators. To ensure optimal sustainability, the convention relies on the waterfront adjacent to a newly restored marine water.
