If people didn’t have brilliant ideas that turned into incredible things then we would be in the dark (literally) as well as without cars, telephones, the internet. Today we’re going to talk about some of the stranger inventions that didn’t exactly take off and the folks that invented them. Because why should the Thomas Edison’s and Henry Ford’s get all of the attention? Well, we have an idea as to why, but these are fun too.
Milk Clothing

Well, we’re starting off strong with exactly what it sounds like, clothing made out of milk. In 2011 German fashion designer Anke Domaske released a fabric known as QMilch which was made from a protein found in milk. One dress used approximately 6 liters of milk. So if you’ve ever looked at a carton of milk and wondered just how articles of clothing you could make, now you know. (Kinda.)
Yodel Meter
Have you ever let out a yodel and wondered if you were in tune or not? Probably not. But in the mid-1920s you could nab a device that did just that. Well, in a way. It was actually designed to measure a person’s pitch, but you know. Either way, it wasn’t a grand slam, but it’s a fun page from the history books.
BitBite
Okay, to be honest, we aren’t sure where we stand on this one. BitBite is an earpiece/microphone combo that analyzes what you’re eating, and how you eat and reminds you when you should take it easy on whatever you may be snacking on. We aren’t convinced that we would like something in our ear telling us how to eat, but we aren’t convinced that this is the worst invention ever. Either way, the BitBite launch in 2014 was successful.
Family Bicycle
Why go on a relaxing bike ride by yourself or even with the family when you could all go together on one bike? That’s right, on a family bike there is a spot for two people to pedal, one person to sit in front, and one person to sew. Because that makes perfect sense. You can actually still nab a bike for four people, but you’ll be hard-pressed to find one with a sewing machine.
Three Words: Ping Pong Door

Do you love ping pong but have little to no room? Well for the low, low price of $12,000 you can have the company known as FINKELDEI custom make you one and all of your problems will be solved.
Rain Goggles
If you wear glasses then you’ve fantasized about these only every rainy day of your life. In the 1930s these rain goggles were invented specifically for race car drivers.
