Tom and Jerry Go on a European Tour
In 2018, a two-headed snake went on tour. Named Tom and Jerry, the 17-year-old California king snake appeared as one of the star attractions at the Reptile Expo in Villeneuve, Switzerland. Keeping two-headed snakes alive can pose a problem. Tom and Jerry were also at the Vivarium exposition in Offenburg, western Germany, on May 8, 2008.
There were viral photographs of a two-headed eastern copperhead found in Woodbridge, Virginia, last year. Cooper Sallade, who bred the viper, and was looking after it, told a magazine that there was so much pressure on him to keep the snake alive, especially because of the media’s attention. So, he gently force-fed it, even when it was unwilling to eat. Unfortunately, this beautiful-looking creature later died.
