This One’s For All the Specs-y People: Accessories You Need if You Wear Glasses

January 16, 2025 by Shelley Thompson

If you’re like us, you wear your glasses all day long. And we’re talkin’ from the second you wake up until you’re seconds away from slumber. You’ve probably also been wearing them for years, meaning you probably also really hated that phase where everyone wore fake glasses or those weirdos in school that took your glasses off of your face, put them on theirs, then proclaimed, “you’re blind!” Anyway, here are some accessories you absolutely have to have if you wear glasses.

Tool Time

You’ve never experienced true terror if you’ve never had a screw pop out of your glasses before. Not only does that teeny tiny screw pop out, but your lense is next, then unless you find that teeny tiny screw you’re left to your own devices as far as your glasses go until you can get to the eye doctor. But this tool kit is a major game changer for that scenario. You’ll be fully equipped with extra screws of various sizes, little screwdrivers, and better yet, the kit is small and lightweight enough that you can keep it in a handbag, glove box, or desk drawer.

Squeaky Clean

It takes next to nothing for your glasses to get something on them whether it’s an eyelash, fingerprint, mascara, or raindrop, there’s always something. Keeping an eyeglass cleaning kit on you will ensure your specs are always clean and streak-free.

On the Case

If there are moments throughout your day when you don’t have to wear your glasses, you’ll want to make sure to keep them in a hard case to protect them. The last thing you want is to assume they’ll be safe somewhere then the next thing you know you hear a crunch and the worst part is the irony of not being able to see and stepping on your glasses, then not being able to see your crunched glasses.

The Nose Knows

If you find that your glasses are leaving marks on your nose, you should know that they shouldn’t be doing this. The good news is nose pads exist and you can easily put them on your glasses so they fit your face comfortably and you don’t have to be constantly pushing them back up on your nose.

The Fog

Our glasses tend to fog up if it’s cold outside, or really humid outside, or we’re wearing a mask. Point is, an anti-fog lens cleaner is always a great idea and prevents those dreaded moments where you feel like the actual biggest dork with foggy glasses.
