Drink of Death
Satan sets forth a beautiful cup trimmed in the brightest colors, and with his long haunting hands, he offers man to take a sip. The devil gives you a cup, and in it are all worldly diseases. It is sweet to the taste buds, pleasing to the body, and when you drink, your body demands more and more. As soon as you have well drunk this cup, it turns bitter.
Oblivious to the man, the bottom of that cup is deadly poison, the poison of sin that brings damnation to the soul and death to the flesh. The first sip brings immense pleasure, and as man’s instincts play out, he seeks to take some more. Then comes dissatisfaction; greed, guilt, despite, anger, and depression set in. At last, the man pays for the initial pleasurable sip he had with eternal damnation.
