MSG is Bad for You
MSG has been tagged the bad guy for many years. The ingredient came under intense criticism in the late 1960s. It was allegedly made out to be a toxic addition to the food that has the potential to harm consumers. MSG became so stigmatized that many restaurants took it off their menu entirely. This caused a lot of people to believe that the condiment was dangerous.
However, research has shown that if used in small quantities, MSG isn’t harmful. The FDA recognizes it as safe. Global bodies such as the World Health Organization and the United Nations Food and Agricultural Organization also agreed. You can go ahead and eat your MSG now, unless you’re allergic.
