These Minor Innovations Can Make Anyone’s Life Much Easier

September 3, 2025 by Shelley Thompson

The timeless saying, “It’s the little things that count,” is so true. Even subtle changes in your everyday habits can improve them for the better. These changes not only make everyday life easier but also more enjoyable. How often do you look at something and wonder, “Yeah, this is cool, but it could be more fun if XYZ”? While most people just let it slide and don’t pay much attention to those annoyances, some step up and suggest and implement creative ideas that change things for good. These ideas make you believe that life can be better and make you look forward to every new day. Everyone deserves a little bit of fun now and then. Here is a list of innovations that make the world and our everyday lives better with their subtle yet powerful impacts.

Ditch the stairs and release your inner child

Who agrees that childhood is the best phase of life? The sun seems to shine brighter, everyone is nice to you, flowers smell more scented, and skies and clouds laugh. Everything is quite enjoyable. How often do we watch kids playing in the park on all those slides, totally carefree and void of any stress or negativity? Sadly, as we get older, we suppress our inner child.

The Kobe Suma Rikyu park in Kobe, Japan, came up with an excellent idea to let visitors’ inner child run free. They set up slides beside stairs so that anyone can take the fun way down. The result? People found themselves forgetting about the stairs and using the slides repeatedly. They wouldn’t even use the stairs if one could somehow go upwards by sliding too. The visitors’ thoughts on this? Wheeee!
