Marilyn Monroe filming her iconic dress scene
Sixty years ago, Marilyn Monroe mesmerized a crowd of lucky onlookers when her white dress blew seductively above her knees as she filmed a scene in “The Seven Year Itch.”
The image became very popular as photographers tagged it the flying skirt. Sam Shaw took the photograph when asked to be the special still photographer for the movie in 1954. Since this scene created attention, he decided to use this movie theatre scene to promote the film.
